ENO 'Iolanthe' revisited

To start with an erratum: apologies to Ruairi Bowen for spelling his first name incorrectly in my initial review. It's also worth noting that Ruairi comes from an illustrious musical family: his father is Geraint Bowen, Organist and Master of the Choristers at Hereford Cathedral, and his grandfather was the eminent Welsh tenor Kenneth Bowen.

I should also have said something about the amount of flying involved in the production. Further praise is due for Catherine Wyn-Rogers, John Savournin, chorus legend Claire Pendelton, and an especially plucky lady stage manager, who all seemed to fly through the air with the greatest of ease...
